 Technology education at the Niskayuna Middle Schools is an investigative, activity based course where students are asked to solve technical problems through the gathering of appropriate information, development of a suitable solution and execute a plan in hopes of solving the problem effectively.

By their very nature, the disciplines of technology education, mathematics and science are highly connected.

Grade sixth technology is a foundation course that develops student’s technical literacy, through design, invention, and innovation.

Grade seven technology is a study of how the use of technological solutions effect society and the environment.

Grade eight revolves around a systems approach to the creation, monitor, modify of technical systems.
