- Friday mornings from 8:00-9:00
- Seven students from each grade level are elected to Student Council.
- The purpose of Student Council is:

- To provide for communication among students and to make VA an even better school.
- To keep faculty, students, and administration working together on school projects.
- To encourage school spirit and support school activities.
- To promote leadership and citizenship among students.
- To join in community activities.

- Yearbook:
Advisors: Mrs. Cotugno-Surin and Mrs. Redman - Purpose: To create a colorful yearbook for VA. If you are interrested in helping to work on the layout for our yearbook, contact one of the advisors. See the VA homepage for a yearbook order form!
Open to: Students in Mrs Redman's advocacy
Purpose: Students will gather paper recycling from around the school to reduce our trash output.
Recycling runs all year, during Thursday advocacies.
Science Seminar:
Advisors: Mrs. Redman (VA), Mrs. Leto (Iroq)
Open to: any interested 8th grader
Purpose: This program is designed for students who are interested in science and would like to discover how scientists use the scientific method to solve problems.
Science Seminar starts in November and runs through April.

Open to: all VA students
Purpose: This program is designed for any interested skier or snowboarder. We go to Jiminy Peak in Massachusetts. Lessons and rentals are available.
Ski Club runs from January - February (Friday nights, the bus leaves at 3:30pm and returns at 10:45pm)
