Kim and Reggie Harris!
On Monday, January 9 the whole school enjoyed a fabulous performance by musicians and storytellers, Kim and Reggie Harris. In their presentation Music and the Underground Railroad Kim and Reggie highlighted one of the most fascinating chapters of American history with songs, stories, audience involvement and a fabulous multi-media presentation.
We all enjoyed their songs and stories and had a great time learning!
VISITS ROSENDALE
On Thursday, December 8th the whole school enjoyed a fabulous assembly with
Chinese Acrobat Li Liu.
The assembly was part of the Arts in Education program of the Rosendale PTO.
Li Liu was born in Shenyang, China and began her acrobatic training at the age of 6. At age 7 she was chosen to attend The Chinese National Circus School in Beijing. While in Beijing she trained for 8 hours a day until she was 16. She often teamed with her sister Liu Ying to perform routines conceived by her and coach and father Liu Gui Ting. She has traveled extensively performing throughout the world, and in 2000 came to the United States with Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. She has been working as a freelance performer since 2003.

Award winning children's author Seymour Simon was at Rosendale.
The children were very excited about Mr. Simon's visit and had a great time listening
to this award winning author tell them about science and being an author.
