Niskayuna High School is a comprehensive public high school with a student population of 1,430 students in grades 9-12. Thirteen departments offer a rich variety of programs designed to
meet the needs of a talented student population. The community has long provided strong and consistent support to an effective and forward-looking educational program.
As we embark upon the 2009-2010 school year, we will continue the physical and cultural transformation of our high school. Students will notice the ongoing changes throughout the building. Most notably, we now have a brand new two-story academic wing adjacent to our
brand new media center. At the hub of this wing is a new student gathering area, with a study commons. Students are very excited about their high school!
Also this year, students will have the opportunity to take new elective courses like Medical Science, Nanoscale Science, Environmental Science, and Russian, in addition to the existing breadth of academic electives and programs. Also, students continue to take advantage of our nationally acclaimed pre-engineering program, Project Lead the Way. We also offer 47 Honors Courses and 15 Advanced Placement Courses for students who wish to pursue a more rigorous program. There are opportunities to study art and music in depth, as well as internship
programs for students to participate.
We are very proud of our high school. It has long been considered by many to be the focal point of our community. We invite you to utilize this web site to learn more about Niskayuna High School.
