TO LOGIN:
1. Go to the NHS home page (http://www.nisk.k12.ny.us/nhs) and click on HOMEWORK.
2. From there, you have two options. You can look at the posted homework by clicking STUDENTS and PARENTS.
OR
Click FACULTY to LOGIN and updated your homework.
3. Enter your USER ID and PASSWORD in their respectful spaces and click LOGIN.
4. You now can update your homework.
**You can have your homework info pre-typed and you can copy and paste it to the homework board**
You also have the option to add links to the homework if you want to direct your students to a page you may have posted on the NHS server or if there is a page that you may want them to visit.
After you have copy, pasted all your info and homework, enter your password on the bottom and click UPDATE.
USING THE NEW SCRIPT
The new script is as user friendly as possible. It is mostly "what you click is what you get" type thing. Your web browser will make some differneces. On some broswers, when you click a button, the cursor will move to the front of the HTML tag.
TO SET TAG
Click on the button that your want. BOLD, ITALIC, or UNDERLINE. On some broswers, the cursor may be in front of these tags, so make sure that it is where you ant it to be. Now put any text you want to be in that style. When you want to end the style, click the button again to place a close tag in.
ADDING "JAZZ" TO YOUR TEXT
The new script allows you now to easy change the color and size. As with all of the script, its all "point and click". Adjust the size to what you want and change the color if you want. Then, click on the CHANGE FONT button to add in the tag. All type after the tag will be in that size and/or color. Click again to close the tag.
TO ADD A HYPERLINK
All you have to do is click on the HYPERLINK button. A window will come up asking for the URL (address of the web site). It already has the http:// in so just add in the "fat" and click OK. You will then be asked to "title" the hyper link. Do that and click OK and it will place the hyperlink where the cursor is.
TO ADD A LINE
Just click on the HORIZONTAL LINE button and it will place the tag where your cursor is.
