SCHOLARSHIPS
                   Pick up applications for all scholarships in Counseling Center.
SENIORS: Better Business Bureau “Student of Integrity” Award for $2,100.00 for leadership, academics and community involvement. Deadline to apply is Dec. 15th.
ELKS NAT’L. FOUND. Scholarships from $1-15,000.00, based on leadership, scholarship,
community service and financial need.  Deadline to apply is Jan. 9th.
SENIORS: Robert  Byrd scholarship ($1500/yr. for 4 years) based on SAT score and converted “Byrd” GPA of 95. Sign up in Counseling.  Deadline to sign up is January 9th.
SENIORS: AT&T Science & Tech. Scholarship ranging from $1-3,000. Deadline is Jan. 16th.
SENIORS planning to major in education may be eligible for Phi Delta Kappa scholarship based on academics, a short essay and letters of recommendation. Deadline is Feb. 1st.
SENIOR GIRLS: Zonta Club Int’l. offering 2 scholarships based on volunteerism, leadership and community service.  Deadline to apply is Jan. 31st.
SENIORS GIRLS planning to major in PE: 3 scholarships worth $5,500-7,500 and a $600 award to area winners not receiving the state award.  Deadline is March 1st.
SENIORS: Scholarships worth $1,500-$10,000 from NY Water Environment Ass’n. to students planning career in science, engineering or environmental studies. Deadline to apply is Jan. 22nd.

CLUBS/MEETINGS/ACTIVITIES
NICS MEETING immediately after school today in D204.  All members should attend.
STUDENT CONGRESS  is sponsoring Cancer Awareness Week beginning today. Tomorrow is Kidney Cancer Awareness.  Please wear orange to help raise awareness.
NIKOLAUSTAG is coming!  Order forms available from homeroom teachers, Foreign Language and German Club members.  Delivery is tomorrow.
ARTPOD THIS Friday from 7-10 in Little Theater.  Experience the NHS student performance showcase of video, poetry, electric and acoustic music.  Refreshments will be served.
URGENT MESSAGE TO SENIORS: If you have not filled out a pink diploma card please see Ms. Seda in the Principal’s office immediately!!!
KEY CLUB meeting today at 2:45 in D207-208.  Bring dues if you haven’t turned them in.
FOLLIES: Students interested in working on costumes for the musical should attend meeting tomorrow after school in the auditorium.
SKI/SNOWBOARDING club meeting tomorrow at 2:50 in G202. If you can’t attend the meeting but want to go on the trips, see Ms. D’agostino in B201.
GIRLS LACROSSE players should attend informational meeting after school next Wednesday in F307.  See Mr. Melito in Social Studies if you can’t attend.
