Stranger with My Face

My favorite book that I read this year was Stranger with My Face by Lois Duncan. This took place in modern days on an island. Laurie is a teenage girl and is the main character in this book. She also is the one who tells the story. This book is full of wonder, sorrow, and happiness, and, at times, it makes you feel bad for Laurie. Laurie's life becomes a big issue at this period when the book takes place.
Laurie is a big wonderer in this book. She wonders about why her younger sister and brother look like her parents and why she doesn't. Laurie also wonders about why people have been saying that they have been seeing her in places when she was never there. All of her wonders lead her into a fact about her life that her parents have never disgust with her before. This book has a lot of sorrow in it when Laurie's friends don't believe her about not being in places that they have seen her in. If I were Laurie, I would not want them as friends because they don't trust her. The book Stranger with My Face is full of happiness when Laurie discovers a way to get her life back from the person who has taken it from her. One of
her unknown relatives in this book takes her life and absolutely refused to give it back. While I read this book, I found myself feeling really disgusted at some moments. I never thought that someone could be so mean to their family members. Laurie's twin sister, Lia, plays around with her mind, making her do things without thinking about them first. For an example, she wanted Laurie to come out of her body so that Lia could go in it. Lia made Laurie look for her out of her body, while Lia was going in Laurie's body. The two of them learned how to go out of their bodies from their heritage. It was called astral projecting in this book. Astral projecting is when you lift your spirit out of your body. That is also very
sad to know that a family member could do that to another family member. Lia keeps doing horrible things to Laurie without Laurie knowing it.
Finally, Laurie discovers a way to get her life to the way that she wants it. Her idea works and she is happy with the way her new life is. This book is a easy book to read and once you get into it you can't put the book down.
I liked this book because it always makes you want to know what happens next. I always wanted to know what was going to happen when Lia took over Laurie's life. It was very exciting at that moment because I wanted to know if Laurie gets her life back or not. This is a great book and recommend this book to who ever likes books that you can't put down.

A great mystery book that I have read and really enjoyed is Stranger With My Face . This book is so suspenseful, interesting, and fun to read. There are some parts in the book that you want to go and tell the character what to do and what not to do. There are also some parts in the book that you want to tell a character about another character so they do not run into trouble.
This book is about a girl named Laurie Stratton and the problems that she runs into when she finds out that she has a twin sister. One day Laurie asks her parents about her adoption and they tell her that she has a twin sister. They told her that they could only take Laurie because they could not afford both of them. At night Laurie gets these feelings that someone is there watching her and she puts some clues together and finds out that her sister astral projected herself and found Laurie. At first Laurie was great with this. She is so happy because she has a chance to really have a twin sister and make a relationship with her. But as the nights go on with Lia (Laurie's twin sister) coming to see Laurie at night Lia became meaner and tries to control Laurie. For example Lia is breaking up Laurie's relationship with her boyfriend, Gordon. This made Laurie lose friends because they think that she does not want to be friends with them. Also Lia tries to kill Laurie's two best friends, Helen and Jeff because Laurie is spending most of her time with them. Laurie comes to find out that Lia is jealous of her and wants her dead too. Laurie regrets ever wanting to start a relationship with Lia.
This book is interesting to read because it is full of surprises and is a great mystery. For example at the end of chapters you want to keep on reading. One chapter ends, "Lia came back to the island but not for me". This made me keep reading because you want to know who she came back for. The book is also full of surprises. For one thing you never know what was going to happen next. Like when Laurie and Jeff were trapped in a cave you didn't know if they were going to get out okay or not get out at all. This suspense is great thing to have in a mystery book because it always makes you read on.
This book is a fun book to read because it was about a teenage girl going through some problems because of a choice she made. This makes the reader realize to be careful of the choices he or she makes.
I would recommend this book to a girl who enjoys reading. The book is not a hard book to read because it is fun to read. If you read this book I am sure you will enjoy it and not put it down until you reach the end!

 Stranger With My Face was an excellent book. It had a lot of interesting parts. Stranger With My Face had a lot of sad and happy parts also. One sad part in this book was when Laurie found out about a family secret that changed her whole life. One happy part in this book was when Laurie turns her whole life back to normal. This was a Mystery book written in the late 1980's.
Stranger With My Face was about a girl named Laurie and her twin sister. Before Laurie meets her sister she thinks that she is nice. But everything changed after that. Laurie was very confused about why her own family member could be so mean and cruel. Lia was astral projecting herself so that Lauries friends would see her and get very mad. They would get mad because they might think that Laurie was out there meeting some one else and lying to them. Astral projection is when you can lift your spirit out of your body so you can do things and go places that would never go to. After Laurie talks to her sister a little bit more and find out more stuff about her a lot of things change. Lia had been put into a mental hospital, because she had pushed her step sister off of a horse.She had done this because, she thought that her sister had gotten every thing that she ever wanted. At the end of the book, Laurie finds out how to keep Lia away from her, and everything turns back around and Lauries life is normal again. But, if you want to find out more about the book then you should read it yourself.
I would recommend this book to anyone that likes to read. But even if you don't like to read, after this book you'll love to. That's what I think about Stranger With My Face . I hope my words gave you an idea about Stranger With My Face .

Stranger With My Face was a excellent book. It took place in the 1900's. It was an exciting and suspenseful book. It was exciting because Lois Duncan put things in the book that happened when you would least expected it. For example, when Laurie found a close family member, it was suspenseful because you never can guess what happened next. For example, when something happens to a family member that was never expected.
Stranger With My Face was about a girl named Laurie who found out about a secret that could change her life forever. Laurie at first was just a plain old high-school girl, but then she found out a secret about her past that made her want to know more. Laurie had a lot of friends and then she had none. Laurie's friends said Laurie was in places that she wasn't. After her friends said that, Laurie was very curious. Laurie was always wondering through the whole book. She was wondering about the way she doesn't look like her family and why her sister and brother does. Laurie wonders why her father thinks that he sees her at home one day when she is at school.
Then she finally figures out her secret. Laurie finds out that she has a twin sister named Lia and realizes that Lia has been doing these awful things to Laurie, for example when Lia went to the beach on the night of a party, which just happened to be the same night that Laurie was sick, and was supposed to go to the party. People at the party saw Lia, but thought it was Laurie and got very mad. Lia wants Laurie's life to fall apart because Lia has an evil mind and wants Laurie's life to fall apart . Lia wants to take Laurie's life away from her. One day when Laurie was talking to her friend Helen, a girl who is kind- of new to Laurie's school, she decided to tell Helen what she had found out about herself. After Laurie had finished telling Helen everything about Lia and stuff, Helen told Laurie about a thing called astral projection. Astral projection is when someone can lift their spirit out of your body so that you can go places, and see people. Laurie starts to project herself but then one day while Laurie wasn't in her body Lia came along and got into Laurie's body. After a couple of days Laurie thinks of a wonderful idea to get Lia out of her body.
I would recommend this book to anyone. If you like to read than this book is for you, but for those who don't like to read you will probably enjoy this book too. It is a pretty easy book to read. If you want to know more about this book than pick it up from the library and read it. I hope you now would like to read Stranger With My Face .

Earlier in the year I read the book Stranger With My Face . This book is about a girl named Laurie and her family. In the book Laurie is brushing her hair and she looks out the window and sees her reflection only it's not her reflection because she was not smiling and the reflection was. This is when the adventure begins. Laurie finds out about a family secret that changes her whole life. She finds out she has a twin sister and wants to find her. Laurie's twin turns out to be evil. Laurie eventually finds out that Lia (Laurie's twin sister) murdered her adoptive sister and wants to kill Laurie and her friends.
This is a very interesting book. I admire the way Lois Duncan wrote this book. I like this book because it's full of adventure and suspense. For example, when Laurie and Lia are fighting and Lia was trying to kill Laurie and her friends and Laurie's adoptive sister killed Lia instead. There is adventure when Laurie is trying to find her sister and she's in Lia's house and Lia's mom starts to yell ''Kathy, Kathy''! Kathy is Lia's adoptive parents daughter. Laurie goes through great lengths to find out why her mother was yelling this and she finally finds out. I would recommend this book to okay readers. I hope you read this book. On a scale from 1 to 10, it would rate a 12.

The book Stranger with my Face , by Lois Duncan is a exciting book that leaves you cliff hanging. The book is about a girl, named Laura, who thinks she has a twin sister and she becomes terrified of this illusion that looks just like her. Laura never tells her parents about this ghost like person that looks identical to her. Throughout the book Laura forgets about this image that she keeps seeing. In the novel Laura finds out that this figure she continues to see is a twin sister of hers. The name of her sister is Lia and her and Laura were born at the exact same time. Her parents already knew about this twin sister of hers but they never told her. Laura thought that if she told her parents about this, they would thinks she was crazy. Towards the end of the book, she had told her parents and they did tell her the truth and knowing that she had such a relief on her back. The only thing she didn't tell them was that she had seen illusion of her.
One night when Laura and her family were telling stories. Laura had told a story about a girl who had a twin sister and she had never knew about her until she was sixteen. Also within her story Laura had told about her experiences with seeing her sister as a ghost like figure.
Laura's parents thought she was kidding and she wasn't. After being told about her twin, Laura knew that what she had seen was real! Laura and Lia saw nothing of one another for a long time until one night when Laura was laying in bed when she had seen someone in front of her it was Lia, at first Laura was surprised but then she and Lia had a talk so that Lia would let Laura know when Lia was coming and they both agreed to that. Laura and Lia went on seeing each other and Laura's Parents never found out about Laura and Lia seeing one another and to Lia and Laura the fact that none knew was the best part.

The book Stranger With My Face was an awesome book. This book was a great mystery. This book is one of the great mysteries written by Louis Duncan. This also was a very easy book to read. This book had 178 pages and had easy words. Now let me tell you about the book, Stranger With My Face. This book was sad, happy, and exciting.
This book was about two girls named Lia and Laurie. They were two sisters who were separated when they were very young. Laurie was adopted first, and Lia was left all by herself. Lia was latter adopted by her own mom. That's when Lia learned how to project. This means free your soul from your body. When Lia fond Laurie, she tried to teach Laurie how to project. That didn't work. Lia was frustrated and left Laurie's house. Then the next day a girl named Heather came to her school from Chicago. Heather and Laurie became good friend. Heather, thought this was cool. She wanted to help Laurie project. Later in the story, something happened to her. Jeff also got tricked by Lia. Lia tricked Jeff into falling into a deep hole. Laurie saw the books Jeff was carrying and fell into the hole herself. Laurie's mom was worried so she went out to look for her.
Also later in the book, Lia was hurt and went to the hospital. When Laurie found out she projected herself and fell into Lia's horrible plan. Laurie and Jeff became great friends. I won't tell you what happened, but if you want to find out what happened to Jeff, Lia, Laurie, and Heather read the book.
This book showed true friendship, and it was a great book. This book was not difficult to read, and it had 248 pages. This book was a great book. This book made me keep on reading. I guarantee you will like this book. If you want a book to read and you don't know what to read, then get this book out today. I enjoyed this book and I hope you will too. So whenever you're bored, go to the library and check this out, I guarantee you'll enjoy it!
