The book Sphere
was an excellent book. The book takes place in present day it all starts when Norman
comes to a ship he came to the ship because he thought that there was a plain crash
and he was a psychiatrist so he wanted to talk to the passengers but when he got
on the boat he found out that there really was no plane crash and that he was there because
of a space ship that crashed a long time ago. Norman was not the only person that
was fooled he and a hole team of people.
Their names where Todd, Beth, and Harry. Jim told them that they where going to have
to go under water to the sunken ship when they went to the ship they found a base
that the Navy had set up for them. The first day they went into the ship they found
a footprint they also found a mannequin and a dead lady they went into a another room
and they found a large sphere. The sphere would take control of there minds the
fist one to go into the sphere was Harry. Soon Harry was acting weird they got and
attack by a squid and Harry was not acting normal he was pretending to be sleeping the next
morning Harry was acting weird he would not eat squid they all thought that Harry
liked Squid. Later in the got a message on there computer screen the message had
lots of numbers the message was from a man named Jerry. Jerry just wanted to have fun he
wanted a friend
But Jerry's way of having fun was not exactly fun. He wanted to have fun by trying
to kill them. It really was an outstanding book and if you want to read a good
exciting book this is the book for you.

The book I read was called Sphere
by Michael Crichton. It was an exciting book. It was about a spaceship that crash
landed in the South Pacific, undamaged from its fall from the sky. It also appeared
to be at least 300 years old! A team of American scientists was rushed to the scene.
They all met up on a Navy ship.
The characters were named Norman Johnson, a psychologist who was also the
main character, Beth Halper, a marine biologist, Harry Adams, a mathematician, Ted
Fielding, a mechanical engineer, Richard Levine, marine biologist, and captain Stu Barnes, the
leader. All was going well and they were going down to the habitat. When they
arrived ,they found out they would meet up with 4 more people already down at the
habitat. They also found out Levine had to go back because he became claustrophobic in
the mini sub and had to go back to the surface. That very day they explored the
ship and found many interesting things such as a control room, a manufactures date
the year 2043 made in the U.S.A., and they found a huge sphere that looked like a big ball
bearing. The sphere had strange markings on the side of it markings out of this world
literary! I liked this book because the were exciting parts like giant squids attacking the habitat there were also fires inside the ship when someone turned on a high
voltage alarm which sent 2,000,000 volts throughout the habitat. This was a great
book and I highly recommend you read it. This book is not very hard the copy I read
was 371 pages. And ,it seemed pretty easy. There is some bad language.

If you want to read a suspenseful, science-fiction novel, Sphere
is the perfect book written by award winning author Michael Crichton.
The book takes place in modern times when a psychiatrist named Norman (main character)
is supposedly called to a plane crash to talk to some survivors. After a two hour
helicopter ride, Norman arrives on a Navy ship when he finds a mysterious man named
Barnes. He asked Barnes where the plane is and is surprised when Barnes says that
it was just a cover- up. Norman wonders why he was reply called there as Barnes
led him into a different room.
When Norman enters the room he is amazed to see huge computer screens lining the walls.
He looks around to see people he knew along time ago. Ted (his best friend in high
school) was a marine biologist. His once playful friend Harry was now turned into a serious, mean mathematician. He turned mean and serious when he was in college
for four years at Yale. Then There was Beth, she was a masculine animal biologist.(
Norman had a relationship with Beth along time ago.) And then was Barnes. Norman
didn't know Barnes.
"Why am I here?'' asked Norman.
"You'll soon find out,"said Barnes. "Now," started Barnes, "the Navy chose me to
lead an expedition to the bottom of the Atlantic. The Navy found this object on
the bottom of the ocean that may be three hundred years old."
"What?" Norman said in disbelief.
"That's what I've been told" explained Barnes. " You will all go into pressurization
tomorrow or you will all explode. Down that far down in the ocean there is to much
pressure. That's why you'll all have pressurized suits down in the cylinders (living quarters)that the Navy built about a week ago.
"What is our mission?" asked Ted.
"To find what that object is, how long it's been down there, and find out what it
was used for."
"Three hundred years," mumbled Norman.
"That's right," Said Barnes.
This a great book for experienced readers. I highly recommend this book.

This was a great book by Michael Crichton. If you have read any other books by him
this is one of his bests and my favorite one. This book takes place the present
day. Sphere
is a spine tingling thriller! In a way its a horror and its a action packed thriller!
This book was so good they turned it in to a movie just like many others by Michael
Crichton.
Some of the scary parts in this book were when they first go down in to the water
they see the ship and they go out of there ship and in to the
other they thought this was an alien ship but then they saw human things in the ship
such as bunk beds peanuts and other foods. Then, they see the sphere! A large golden
ball. Beth, Norman and Harry are the main characters these 3 are the ones who find
the sphere. They are shocked. First they thought it was an alien ship then they think
its human know they don't know what it is? They tell there Captain Barnes and they
put cameras all around it. Everyone thinks there going to die. So Harry decides to
go in the sphere! He goes in it and they get him out. He's knocked out. While Harry
is sleeping Norman Beth and the captain get a message on the computer from some one
named Jerry! They think Jerry is from the sphere! When Jerry is talking to them
on the cumputer he is writing in numbers in stead of English. Know Harry wakes up he is a math
genius they tell him about this and he figures it out and decodes the message. The
message says hello my name is Jerry. Then he keeps talking in numbers they make him
talk human he says all sorts of weird things that I can not tell you because it will
ruin the book.
I will tell you a little bit about the part with the squid. Jerry has a tallent he
can make things that he thinks of. Well, Jerry makes a giant squid. The squid attacks
the ship a few people die but I'm not going to tell you any more. This is a book
for a person who likes to read and it is kind of tough. It is a great book you should read
this book!

SPHERE

Sphere
is the best book I've ever read . It is a great science fiction novel by Michael
Crichton. This is a book for all you horror fans. I've never read a book so scary.
This book is about a mathematician, Harry, a psychiatrist, Norman, a biologist, Beth,
a marine biologist, Ted, and commander Barnes. They travel very deep underwater looking
for a spacecraft. They are looking for a spacecraft because it is something knew. It was something never seen or encountered before. These people will be the first
to ever see and touch something like this.
Underwater in the spacecraft a sphere is found. This sphere gives three of these
people a power to manifest things from their thoughts.
Some of these thoughts kill some crew members, Ted, and Barnes. What happened is,
Harry is reading the book 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea
and is at the part with the squid. And because he is thinking about the squid and
since he, a squid, attacked the submarine they are in, killing those people. This
is my favorite part in the whole 371 page book.
I know the book has just made into movie but it is much different. The book is also
much better! In the movie the characters dies differently and when Beth locks Norman
in a room, the room is different
(that is another good part in the book). So, a word from the wise, read the book before
you see the movie.
