Running Wild

A great book I read was Running Wild
. The main character's name was Pete. He has a very rough life his father left him
and his mother when he was very young. In school he cuts class and hangs out with
the wrong group of kids.
One night he and his friends were getting drunk, and the police started to chase them.
Officer Stowell was chasing Pete, and they had already gotten his other friends.
Once he found Pete he put him and jail. Coach Holman went to the station to bail
Pete out. Pete found this strange because that same week Coach brook up a fight up between
Pete and one of the other football players. Petes mom did not know about him going
to jail because she was working late that night. Officer Stowell wanted the coach
to Stratton things out with Pete and Ssend him in the right direction.
The coach 's deal was that Pete to try out for the football team. Pete agreed but
he said he was only going to try out he was not going to join. Pete tried out for
the team and he liked it. Coach saw Pete cutting classes and go back to his old
ways. When coach saw him cutting class he told him he would want him to tryout for the team
again and he wants him to play running back.
The season got under way but the Quarterback does not like Pete because he's took
his position on the special teams. Petes first game he did great and he scored the
winning touchdown.
Officer Stowell came to everyone of his games. His Mother never found out about the
arrest and she was very proud of Pete. This is a great book and i recommend to sports
lovers everywhere. I liked this book because I like sports.
