Pale Phoenix was a great adventurous novel about a girl who came to live with Miranda
and her family. This is the sequel to Time Windows.
It all stared when Miranada's mom Helen almost hit a girl in the rode. Ever since
then Miranda has been following her. But when Abby came to live with them there
was something strange about her.
It all started when Miranda heard her crying, but she was no where to be found. Then
she saw some strange pictures of Abby or, who she claimed to be her relatives, but
they looked like Abby in clothes and backgrounds from the early 1900's to the 1960's.
It was very weird.
When she finally confronted Abby in front of her parents, she denied everything.
But when Miranda told Abby about her sobbing, Abby's face started to glow. After
they left her mother's room, Abby pulled Miranda aside. She started to Miranda that
she was born in the year 1608!
Miranda was in disbelief! Was she crazy? Abby started talking about her past and as
she got into detail and Miranda started to believe what she was saying.
Miranda decided to help Abby try to go back to the past and help her try to live
there. As I was reading this I noticed remembered the saying, "You cannot try to
live in the past." That saying was what helped Abby live on. I reccommened that
you read the rest of the book for more details, and to find out what happens, it is a real
page turner, and a great novel by Kathryn Reiss.
