The Night Lives On
is a book based on the madden voyage of Titanic. From the age of eight I became
fascinated with the Titanic. I wanted to learn all the information I could. And
this book was just perfect!
In The Night Lives On
you learn about all the details, down to the furniture and dishes that were on board.
It tells about the people that were on Titanic. This book explains how many peoples'
lives were changed by Titanic. Not only by the sinking, but their journey and reasons for travel. Not all people were traveling away from Southampton to ride Titanic.
A woman traveled aboard Titanic blind. Due to the death of her son, all the trim
and detail that was put in to Titanic was hidden from her. Her grief covered any
excitement she might of had. Learn about the quality and disadvantages of Titanic. Learn
how it was designed to work and why it was labeled the ship of dreams. Feel the
excitement along with the real life characters in the book. Live these four memorable
days of Titanic, and feel the suspense as you creep the night of April 14.
Finally you hit, an iceberg is spotted and you know what will happen. The terrible
suspense and pity of the people you are reading about overwhelms you. As you eyes
dart across the page to see what will happen to them next. Finally, it's over.
You learn about the survivors and the ones that lost theirs lives. Leaving loved ones and
valuable possessions behind.
I would recommend this book to anyone that has a fascination with Titanic. This was
one of the best books I have ever read. The words and facts become pictures and
events. You live through Titanic as you never thought possible. Feeling the laughter
and cries from everyone aboard. Their tears become yours as you travel through a sea
of words.
