A great Novel, I read this year was Where the Red Fern Grows. It was written by Wilson Rawls.

This book was about a boy named Billy. He lived on a farm by the Ozark Mountains. Billy wanted a pair of hunting dogs. Billy worked for two years to earn enough money to buy the hunting dogs. He saw them advertised in the magazine article. No one knew what Billy was planning on doing. Billy was that kind of kid that made a goal, and was determined to reach it.

The story was about a boy and his dogs, Old Dan and Little Ann. Old Dan was very strong and very bold. Little Ann was bold too, but she liked to use hear head more then her muscle. An example of this was when Old Dan and Little Ann were coon hunting. They were tracking a very smart coon and were hot on the trail. When the coon used the cross the river trick, Old Dan immediately jumped in to the water swimming to the other side Little Ann stood on the bank sniffing all around. to make sure the coon did not run down the bank instead of crossing the river. When Old Dan howled she ran in to the river and started after Old Dan. Billy shared a bond between his dogs that words can not describe. Billy lived with his dogs and loved them with all his heart. And in return he had the best pair of hunting dogs a boy could ever get.

To Billy, they were not just dogs. They were his companions. He loved them to the very end, and until the death of his dogs this boy was the happiest boy alive. Even though the dogs were not alive, Billy always had a special place for his dogs in his heart.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a heart warming story. Its also for anyone that likes an adventure books with a thrilling story. I thought this book was one of the best n

A great novel I read this year was Where The Red Fern Grows. This book was written by Wilson Rawls.

Where The Red Fern Grows was a very sad, happy, and exciting book. It was a book about a boy named Billy who was very determined to get hunting pups. So one day he built up courage to ask his dad if he could get the pups. His dad said no, because they didnít have enough money. So Billy worked a long time picking berries, selling vegetables, and stuff to the fisherman. He finally earned enough money to buy the pups. So he went to town one day all by himself and got himself the pups.

Through the whole book Billy expresses how much love he has for his dogs. Itís a very heartwarming story, and even made me cry. But through all those tears happiness came out of it. He did everything with his pups. He even took them to a hunting contest, and something very special happens while there at the contest. Billy is very excited and very proud of his dogs.

Billy loved his dogs so very much, and always knew they would be there for him. His dogs also knew that Billy was there for them to. He was very grateful for his dogs.

At the end of the book something very horrifying happens to the two pups. Billy is very sad, but he knows his pups had a very good life. Billy will never forget his pups. They will always be in his heart, no matter what happens.

There were many memorable moments in this book. The good thing about this book was that you could relate it to your own animals. It was also a book that was factual based on real live accounts. Which made the book even better.

This is a very enjoyable book, and one that you would love. Itís a kind of book that you will always remember. I know that it will always remain with me. I highly recommend this wonderful book by Wilson Rawls.

ovels I have read since The Spector.

If you are looking for a book that will get your attention and keep you going to the end, I guarantee that the Where the Red fern Grows is the book for you.
