A really good book I read and enjoyed a lot was Walk Two Moons. This book is about a girl named Salamanca Tree Hiddle and how she and her father faced her motherís disappearance. When her mother disappeared,

Sal was very upset. She waited days for her to come back, but she never did. Eventually, she and her father moved to Kentucky, where her fatherís friend had lived. Her name was Mrs. Cadaver. Sal thought she was a witch.

She thought she murdered her husband because she saw her digging one night and putting things into the ground. Another reason was because cadaver means "dead body"! Sal didnít like her at all, but later she finds out something that made Mrs. Cadaver closer to Sal and more special. She finds out why she moved to Kentucky, and why she was important.

This book all takes place in a car with Salís gramps and gram. Sal decided she wanted to go to find her mother after she had left them five years ago. She leaves a few days ahead of when she plans to get to

where she expects to find her mother. Euclid, Ohio. This trip has a lot of sadness, action, relief, happiness, etc. in it.

This book is fairly long, but I didnít put it down because it held my interest. Starting with the road trip, all the way until they arrive at Ohio, this book always had an interesting part in it. It always explained actions and the characters feelings. If someone felt embarressed, the author explained, not only how he/she looked, but how she felt. This makes a difference in a story. This book is my favorite because you feel like your really there in the story. If I canít picture the setting in this book, the book will tend to be very boring.

I definitely recommend this book to a person who likes drama, sadness, love, and of course happiness.

My favorite I have read this year is named Walk Two Moons. It is written by Sharon Creech.

The reason I loved this book so much is because I had so many mixed feelings throughout it. What I mean by this is that something sad would happen and then something funny would happen. So, it really kept my attention. Anyway, this book is about a girl named Salamanca Tree Hiddle.

Salamanca is a girl in search of her mother. Her father knows that her mother is not coming back, but Salamanca does not want to believe it. So, one day, her Dad told her that her grandparents were going on a trip and they want her to come along. At first, she isnít very happy about going. One reason is because her father has met a girl and she does not want them to be together. She knows that her mother is coming back. But, she realized that she had to go because they were going where she thought her mtother was. She goes on the trip, and she begins to tell a story to her grandparents and the adventure begins.

This book held my interest because it had two stories going on at the same time. What I mean by this is that she is telling a story while living another. This book will make you laugh and cry at the same time. It was not that hard to understand except at a few times when things got a little complicated. But, it is definitely worth getting through.

I choose this book as my favorite because it never stopped holding my interest. For example every time you started to get bored something happened. This book is fun to read because it is different then other books. I mean how many times have you heard an interesting title like Walk Two Moons. I think it is a very interesting title.

The reason I would recommend this book is because it is definitely worth reading. Some books I have read do not mean that much to me. But this book did because after I read it I was very proud of myself. I even got extra points for doing it. So, after you read this book I guarantee you will feel the same way. Donít just take my word for it, read it yourself and youíll see. Go ahead. Remember, Walk Two Moons.
