Vixen 03 is Clive Cusslerís fourth novel. The main character in each novel is Dirk Pitt. He works for NUMA and is the director of special projects. He is the James Bond type and these books are very exciting.

In this book, Dirk finds an old abandoned airplane that held some biological weapon is on and was presumed lost when it crashed in 1940 or something. It had crashed in the Rockies and into a lake. The canisters were unharmed and there were 36 in all. About 30 years later, Dirk finds it. When he finds it, there is only 28 canisters. In Africa, there is this rich retired sea captain and his house, family, and workers are all killed and burned. He has nothing left so he goes to America and steals the U.S.S. Arizona (I think) and runs off with it. He had a African crew and the ship was fully loaded with weapons and 2 of the canisters.

Now, we go back to Dirk and he had already recovered 6 of the remaining 8 canisters. Now, he has traveled to Washington where Navy Seals are going to try to capture the ship. Dirk, Giordino, and the Colonel get a helicopter and with Dirk at the end of a 50 foot rope outside the helicopter, fly out to the ship. Dirk landed on the ship when the battle had started. He had to find the weapons room because that is where the canisters would be. He found the first one and got the little canisters inside the big one out and through it overboard. Now he went to the room in the ship where they fire the the missiles. He found it and when he was about to disarm it, it was fired.

That was one of the major parts in the book and was very important. If you want to find out the end of the book then you better go find it in a book store and read it. It was a very exciting novel and one of Clive Cusslerís best. Other books by this great author are Raise the Titanic, Iceberg, and the Mediterranean Caper. This is a great book and you should read it!
