A great book I read this year was Someoneís Been Hiding in Alcatraz Island. This book was written by Eve Bunting.

This was the best book I read in my life. This was a book with a lot of action. The book is about a boy named Danny He ran on to a boat to Alcatraz Island. The main plot of the book is with Danny in one cell and Ellen in the cell next to Danny. Most of the book was happening there. Like when the whole gang was in front of Dannyís cell blasting the radio. The whole book made me laugh. The part that made me laugh the most was when Jelly Bean was walking up the path next to a cabin, and then the cabin broke into pieces and just rolled onto Jelly Bean and only showed his feet.

Danny was the major character in the book. The thing that got Danny in all of this is when he was sitting next to an old lady on a bench. Then this kid dressed in black ran by and took the old ladies pocketbook ran down the road but, then Danny ran after him. Danny caught him and started jumping on him and said, "Give the lady her the pocketbook back.

This book held my interest because I started to read, and

after a while, I forget to stop reading. My mom yelled at me when it was time for dinner, and I kept reading. I chose this book to read because, my sister read it recommend it to me.

Now, I'm going to recommend it to you. This is the best book to read from kids the age 11 to 13.
