This year, I read an exiting book called The Seance. The author of this exiting book is Joan Lowery Nixon. This book is about a girl named Lauren. She is reluctant to be part of the seance group from the start. When the lights are turned out and only a candle is lit, someone knocked over the candle. After Lauren turns on the light no one can seem to find Sara. Sara is Lauren's step-sister. The next day, Lauren sees a red truck and gets a funny feeling. She looks in and sees Saraís body! After Lauren goes to Sheriff Novel, he wants to go over what had happen. When the group is at Robertaís house again, the group canít find Roberta. They go outside, and Roberta is dead on the front lawn! After they found Roberta, they went to Laurenís house and the group leaves. Lauren hears a footstep and is very scared. She decides to run outside. When she is outside, her kitchen light goes off! Next, the person comes outside and Lauren wants to run to Sheriff Novellís office but she canít because, she has a white blouse on and the person can see the white blouse! She decides to hang it on a tree and then run! Everything works out fine until Lauren gets to the gate. At the gate someone grabs her arm and threatens to kill her!

If you love mysteries and have read Joanís books before, youíll love this book! If you havenít read any of Joanís books before, then start by reading this one. I guarantee youíll love this one! I highly recommend this book for anyone at any age!
