A great thriller novel that I read this year was Pandoraís Clock. Pandoras Clock was a great book about over 300 passengers who have been exposed to a new strain of influenza on board a Boeing 747-400 jet airliner. A man, who was tested with this strain and tried to escape the installation where he was being tested, went aboard Quantum Flight 66 from Germany to New York (John F. Kennedy International Airport)

At first, it started as a routine flight for Captain James Holland until one of his flight attendants alerted him that one of his passengers was having a heart attack. The flight crew gave him CPR, actually one person of the flight crew gave him CPR and the others watched in terror as the watched the man die. The doctor was preforming the a check on the man, pupils, heart beat ect. The man was in a unstable condition and must be taken to a hospital. The flight attendants told Captain Holland he must land at the nearest airport with emergency assistants to help the man of the plane and get him to a hospital.

Captain Holland was denied landing at London Heathrow International and airports in Germany, and was not permitted to fly in Dutch Airspace. He was put in a holding pattern for a few hours. Desperately low on fuel, he must request landing at a airport that will except his lethal machine that is capable of wiping out the world civilization. By now the man who had a heart attack has died and was brought into the bunker so he would not spread any of the disease he was carrying. By now all the airports know that this plane is a potential hazard to human civilization and must be brought into a airport with no civilians around to catch this strain. The military brought the huge "Whale" (Slang for Jumbo Jet) to a base where the aircraft would be safe and no one around could get infected by this strain.

The rest of the book is about how there are debates whether to shoot down the plane or to continue with the quarantine and let them free. If you want to be amazed read the book and find out what happens to this shocking flight and the people on board it.
