My book review is on the book called The Outsiders, by S.B. Hinton. The genre of this book is realistic-fiction.
This book is about a fourteen year old boy who belongs to a gang. This boyís name is Poneyboy. In the plot, his best friend gets hurt in a church fire and dies in a hospital. This destroys Poneyboy. For days, Poneyboy can not brig himself to believe that his friend is died.
In this book, there is a lot of action going on, but my favorite action pack adventure is when Johnny (Poneyboy best friend) kills a Soc. I enjoyed this part because Johnny was very afraid of Soc.ís. Awhile back in the book Johnny was beat and almost killed by a few Soc.ís that's why he is very afraid of Soc.ís
The main character in this book was Poneyboy. Poneyboyís biggest moment in this book was when he saved three kids in church fire. The reason it was so big is that he did something brave. He did it for the children not himself. Another very important character in this book was Johnny. One of his biggest moments in this book was when he killed a Soc. to help his friend Poneyboy. To save himself and Poneyboy from death or at least from hurt bad.
This book was very interesting. It also held my interest. It held my interest for one reason, it was very exciting to read. It made me wonít to read more, something every book should do. I chose this book as my favorite because it was a very excitining book. It also was a type of book I liked to read. I would recommend this book to anybody because it wasnít to easy and it held my interest. It was like experiencing a roller coaster for the first time.
