One of my favorite books about the American Revolution was My Brother Sam Is Dead. This was my favorite book because, as I was reading this book with my class, I felt that I really understood this book because we would stop and discuss it after every chapter. The book My Brother Sam Is Dead really led me to know more about the American Rev. I also think that a lot of my classmates learned and understood the American Rev. little more too. At the time we were reading this book, we were also learning about the American Rev. in my social studies class. Even if you're not learning about the American Rev. in your s.s. class doesn't mean you canít read this book .

If your the kind of person who loves to learn ,then you should read the book My Brother Sam Is Dead. I hope you enjoyed my book review , and I really hope that you will find this book as wonderful as I did. This book can be found at Van Antwerps library.

One of my favorite novels that I read this year is the famed book, My Brother Sam Is Dead. This book was a well written and entertaining book that gave me great pleasure in reading and will give even greater pleasure in getting other young readers to enjoy it as much as I did if they read this review and choose this book to read. This book was filled with joyous occasions, tragic moments, and thrilling engagements. It is a magnificent book to read and you will soon see why.

In the book, Samís younger brother, Tim, is caught in the middle of the Revolutionary War. His brother Sam is fighting for the Americans, but his father tries to keep his family loyal to the king. All throughout the book, Tim is trying to decide what side he is favoring. His choices of sides change though during the book. Like when he wanted to be a British when he saw them in their bright red uniforms and saw how organized they were in the training field, but then was against them when he saw the British massacre people from his own town in a unmerciful fashion. Tim also experienced tragic moments in the book like when his father was captured and killed and when his brother was killed by his own forces for being wrongly accused of a crime he did not commit. The book was loaded with exciting parts also like when Tim outsmarted the cowboys and made it home safely. The book was very fun to read and is a definite read.

So, overall, the book was action packed and also gave you things to think about. It is a book that can be enjoyed by all readers and should. So if you ever have nothing to do and feel like reading a good book, pick up a copy of My Brother Sam Is Dead and I guarantee you you wonít put it down.
