A very interesting book I read was Lord of the Flies. It is about a bunch of kids that get stranded on an island in the middle of an ocean. It shows how they deal with problems they face as children. It had everything a good book needs to be a interesting book. Each character brought a different thing to the story. Ralph, the main character, brought a sensible aspect to the book. Jack the "bad guy" brought the action part to the story.
The main plot is how the kids on the island solve their problems. Also the bad kid Jack, makes all the kids join his clan, and they do some vary bad things to the kids loyal to Ralph, even kill some of them.
I liked the book and picked it for my favorite for a couple of reasons. One is that is that the author described each scene so well. Another is that it has to do with what kids would do in certain situations. As I read, I thought about what I would do in these situations and I usually agreed with the characters in the book. I think almost any one could relate with the characters in the book.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a great novel. It has every thing a great book has action, suspense, and a softer side. It made me want to keep reading and I couldn't put it down.

A great novel I read this year was Lord of the Flies, by William Goldling.
This book was excellent. This story was about a group of boys whose plane had crashed and left them abandoned on a tropical island. These young children are forced to create a working society to keep order on the strange island. There are no physical dangers on this island, but the main thing they have to contend with is their fear. Some of these kids are only about four years old, and they are terrified. The boys start believing in a beast, which of course isnít there. Their society crumbles because they gave into this fear of the unknown. The children do very little work to help the group. Mostly, the children eat, bathe and hunt. Ralph, the appointed chief is utterly disappointed with the children. They canít even keep a signal fire going, which dissolves any chance for rescue.
One of the boys, Jack, challenges Ralph, and creates a tribe of his own. The children become savages, and cover themselves with war paint. They start performing strange rituals and dances. All these children can think about is killing. They start out with pigs, and chant "kill the pig, cut her throat..." as they march about through the jungle. But, eventually they find something else to wreck their savage practices upon.
This book was enjoyable because it showed how cruel and barbaric people (even children) can be. It showed what can happen when people give into their fears. It also had great descriptions of the children and the island in this book. The whole book was symbolic of the pointless chaos in war in modern society. I highly recommend this book.

Lord of the Flies was a great book that I read. This novel was written by William Golding. Lord of the Flies was a very interesting book. Itís about children stranded on an island with no adults. Itís very interesting because of all of the conflicts between the boys on the island. For example, Jack breaks Piggyís glasses because of a disagreement. Since there are no adults the kids act as they want for this reason many problems occur.
This book is great to read because the author is very descriptive. He describes the setting and the characters well. When you read this book it seems as your watching a movie. The author makes you keep on reading because the book is so interesting. This book is so good because of the characters, setting, and plot are excellent.
If you want to read an interesting, exciting book read Lord of the Flies. This book has everything you want in a book. It has a good plot, realistic characters, and wonderful literature.
