The best book I read this year is called Lights Out by, R.L. Stine. Itís about this girl named Holly. This summer she wanted to stay home with her friends but, her uncle owned a camp it was called Camp Nightwing. Her uncle needed some help finding consolers for the little campers and since Holly loved her uncle so much and she would be delighted to help but only because he asked or needed her too. Anyway she was terrified of the outdoors and especially terrified of BUGS!! Holly and her friend Thea, since they decided they were going to be consolers they left for camp.
When they got there they were kind of upset because they were in different cabins. Holly was with Debra (who she soon disliked ) and Thea was with someone else. Holly soon learned from Thea, that Geri was there. It was her old enemy from a different city. Holly and Geri were the perfect best friends. They were both great swimmers and enjoyed the same subjects and other stuff. Until Geri was going out with a boy she really liked but, since he was so much older than herself her parents didnít want her to see him. But, Geri didnít listen and told Holly not to say a thing to her parents. One day Geriís mom didnít know where she was and called Holly to see if she knew. Holly knew that Geri was with her boyfriend but when Geriís mom asked her she told her that she didnít know where she was. But some how Geriís mom knew where she was and forbid Geri to and from seeing him ever again. Then Geri thought Holly told her mom and got really mad at her.
It had a lot of things like with people dying. I also think this book had a happy type ending too! Iíd really recommend this book to people that enjoy mystery books.
