A great novel I read was The Hobbit. This novel was written by J.R.R. Tolkein.
The Hobbit was about a hobbit that was a homley kind of hobbit. He didnít really like to go anywhere. One day, a great wizard, Gandalf, came to his house and asked him to go on an adventure with him and thirteen other dwarfs.
Long ago, a dragon named Smaug killed all the race of dwarfs that lived in a town called Dale. The son of the king of Dale survived and was one of the thirteen dwarfs going on the adventure. The adventure was to go and kill the all mighty Smaug.
Bilbo, the hobbit, didnít want to go. Gandalf knew it but kind of forced him to go. The book is about all of their adventures by trying to reach the beast that killed so many dwarfs. That sets the plot of the story. This is an exciting novel and you wonít be able to put it down.
If you want to read an exciting book that you wonít regret reading, I highly recommend this book.
