A very good book I read is Flowers for Algrenon. It was written by Daniel Key.
This was a neat book about a mentaly disabled man called Charlie. He works in a bakery where he is not treated well. He also goes to a special school for mental disabled people because he wants to become smarter. He is very nice and works hard.
One day a group of scientists do tests on people in the special class that Charlie goes to. They chose Charlie to do an experiment on. The scientists have discovered a way to make people three time smarter than what they normally are. Charlie has the operation and over a period of time he gets gradually smarter.
The book revolves around Charlie's adventures with a lab rat named Algrenon, a mouse who also had the operation done to him. You will find yourself thinking about how Charlie finds out about things he has never experienced before. He also starts to remember things that he didnít understand as a boy. How smart can one person be, you will ask yourself when Charlie outsmarts a collage professor and learning languages that have not been around for thousands of years.
I would definitely recommend this book. I liked it because it makes you think if someone actually did find a way to triple your IQ. So will you.
