A great novel that I read this year was The Face on the Milk Carton. This book was written by Caroline B. Cooney.

The Face on the Milk Carton was a book about a girl named Jennie who was kidnapped from her mother when she was only three years old. No one knew that they wouldnít see Jenny eleven years from then!

One day, a girl named Janie was eating lunch with all of her friends in the cafeteria, and she saw a familiar face on her friend, Sarah-Charoletteís milk carton. "Who could it be," she thought? "Itís probably someone I have seen and I donít remember well. Wait, it looks like me when I was a little girl! " She kept repeating that in her mind. "It canít be me. The little girlís name is Jenny." Janie didnít have one clue why this little girl looked like her.

She started getting suspicious when she asked her mother if she could see her birth-certificate. Her mother tells her it is in the safe at the bank, and she doesnít have the time to get it.

Later, Janie finds out that she really doesnít have a birth certificate, but why? That is the one question Janie wants to find out!

If you like exciting books, The Face on the Milk Carton is the book for you. Trust me, if you read this book you will definitely not regret it. I highly recommend it! If you enjoyed this book, you could also read Whatever Happened to Janie and The Voice on the Radio by the same author. They are really good books too! I highly recommend them too!

I read the book The Face On The Milk Carton. This book was written by Carolyn B. Cooney. The book The Face On The Milk Carton was wonderful. It was about a girl who saw her face on the milk carton while she was eating lunch. She didnít think that it was her. Who would want to find her? Her parents were at work. Why would they want to find her? She decided to ask her parents for her birth certificate. Her mother said that it was at the bank. Janie had suspicions about what her mother said. She then moved on to find a lot of secrets such as who was Hannah? Who was Janie going to talk to? She couldnít talk to her parents at least until she felt more comfortable. I really donít know what I would do.

One day, she decided to talk her parents about this, trying not to show her anger. Hannah turned out to be a bizzare woman. Her parents had Hannah first which made Hannah their daughter and Jaine was their granddaughter. Hannah joined a cult very young and one day reappeared to her parentsí house with a little girl in her hand. She eventually returned. They wrote letters but she never wrote back. They thought that it was the cult not letting her return the letters. In fear they would find her, her parents started moving around in hopes that the cult would not want to take the little girl back. This was the plot.

Good things did come from this book. Janie finally found out that she was kidnapped, and was able to locate her real parents. The end of the book left me in a halt. It kind of finished without an ending. Then I found the 2 books that follow it.

If you need a great book to read I suggest you read this book. I recommend it very much. Also read " Whatever Happened to Janie,"

and " The Voice On The Radio." I read "Whatever Happened To Janie" I thought it was just as good as the first. The sequel to The Face On The Milk Carton.
