The Ear the Eye and the Arm written by Nancy Farmer is a great book.
I really liked this book because it is a great adventure.
This book takes place in the future. It is about three very important kids that live in Australia. They are General Mitaskaís children. The General is very protective of his children and wonít let them out of the mansion that they live in. When Tendi, the oldest, has to go on an expedition to get a boy scout badge, he knows his father wonít approve. During the mornings praising he gets his father to say ok. The praising is when a mellower, or praiser, tells you how great you are. You are in a hypnotic state. When Tendi sets out the mellower tells him he has to take his sister Rita, and his little brother Kuda. When they finally get down town, they stop to look at a special blue monkey. When the monkey invites them into his hut they are kidnapped by the monkeys owners. When Tendi's parents find out, they get really scared. They hire a detective agency called, The Ear the Eye and the Arm Detective Agency. Each of the detectives have special powers. For example, Arm can go into peopleís mind. Ear can hear up to a mile away, and Eye can see very far. Read this book to find out what happens to Tendi, Rita and Kuda and how close the detectives come to getting them back home.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure. The Ear the Eye and the Arm by Nancy Farmer is a great book, and I encourage you to read it.
