One of my favorite novels Iíve read this year was Donít Die My Love.

This book was written by Lurlene McDaniel.

Donít Die My Love was a very sad and romantic novel. It was about a

young man named Luke Muldenhower, who has cancer and the fight him his mother Nancy, and his girlfriend Julie Ellis, are having to save his life. He had missed a lot of school and became very weak. That made his football dreams fade away, and fast.

If it wasnít for Julieís support and her being there for him, he probably wouldnít have been such a trooper. The romance between Luke and Julie is very touching. Their relationship started in sixth grade when Luke showed up at her doorstep with flowers on her birthday. She fell in love with him after that, and they have been dating ever since.

I liked the way the author made you feel like you were experiencing this yourself. She made you think that you were close to the characters, like you really knew them. Thatís how into the book Lurlene McDaniel gets you. It was like a twisty road, the story changes a couple of times.

I would highly recommend this book to someone who likes romantic, heart filled,and sad books. Iíve also read other good novels by

Lurlene McDaniel, like Iíll Be Seeing You and One Last Wish.
