One of the best books I ever read was Cheaper by the Dozen. It is a true book by Frank Gilbreth and Ernistine Gilbreth Carey. The story is about family who had 12 kids. They were always very busy. They went on trips a lot. Every summer they would go to Cape Cod. The family all learned to swim, but the childrenís mother was not able to swim. The father decided to teach his wife how. He was not very successful because his wife was scared of the water.

The most interesting part of the book was when the whole family had to get their tonsils out except Martha. When it was Ernistineís turn, the doctor was not sure if Marthaís tonsils or Ernistineís were supposed to come out. Everybody got confused and so nobody knew if it was Ernistine - not even her own father!! The reason I thought it was the most interesting part was because, how could their father not know if it was Ernistine. It happened a few other times, he was not even sure if the kids were his.

I definitely would recommend this book. It was a really funny book. There is a movie also. When your done with the book go rent the movie. Plus, there is a sequel to the book called Bells on their Toes. Definitely read Cheaper by the Dozen. Those books are both really good.
