This year, I read a very good novel called, Beach Party. This novel was written by the famous R.L. Stine who is the author of the series Goosebumps.

This novel is not about a party at a beach. It about something more interesting. This book is really about a teenager (Karen) who falls in love with this really cute boy named Jerry. The only problem is he is already taken by a girl Renee who,in my point of view, has a horrible personality. Karen just ignores the fact that Renee is going out with him and starts dating him. But shortly after, she starts getting weird phone calls, a spray painted message that warns her to stay away from Jerry, jellyfish in her bed, and a couple life and death situations. Karen assumes itís Renee and goes to talk to her, but instead, finds her dead. What Karen doesnít know is she might be next, and the person who is doing this this someone very close.

In this novel, there are a couple breathtaking moments and surprises.

My favorite thought was when Karen was lead out to the rocks by Renee. The current pulls her in and smashes her repeatedly against the rocks until Jerry comes to the rescue. Something that surprised me was who was doing the things to Karen, and also killed Renee was. I not going to tell you though because then I would ruin the book and there would be no point in reading it.

The major characters in this book are Karen Mandell, Renee, Ann-Marie, and Jerry. This book held my interest because itís a horror book, and I love horror books. It also has sort of a mystery in it that usually holds my interest. Also, the way R.L. Stine described the characters and things that happened, made me feel like I was in the book watching everything. So, those things usually hold my interest in books.

I would defiantly recommend this book because it s exciting, fun, and its a horror book. So check this really good book Beach Party out at you local library, or just borrow it from a friend.
