This crazy and wonderful book by the classic author James Thurber is a must read for all lovers of good fantasy. It is short, and sort of easy, but the writing is not for second graders. The Thirteen Clocks is set in a medieval town, where a visiting prince tries to complete the labors required to wed the cold duke's niece, the princess Saralinda. The duke lives in a castle, where time has frozen, and the Todal runs amock.
