My favorite book is Relic, which is a novel by D. Preston and L. Child.
This book is really suspensful and is a definate page turner. The plot
is very original and involves supernatural powers. Don't take this the
wrong way, because this novel isn't a fantasy. In fact, it's a little bit
too believable.
A creature needs to obtain a hormone found only in the jungle region where
it comes from. When this region is destroyed, the creature needs to get
the hormone in order to survive. So, it journeys to NY City by means of
a boat that is accidently carrying the weed that contains this hormone.
Since the crate containing the weeds contains valuable artifacts, it is
heavily guarded. A series of murders begin this very exiting plot.
Please note: If you are looking for action and suspense, this is your book!
By the way, don't get too attached to any characters, especially the SWAT
team and FBI officers!

I really liked this book because it was action packed and mysterious. It
takes place in The Museum of Natural History where the new Superstition
exhibit is about to open and where two children have been ripped apart by
something that could not possibly have been human. The police are baffled,
the museum staff is wondering what is going on, and the media is making
up crazy stories about a museum beast. Somehow these murders are connected
to a mysterious statue of a creature called Mbwun featured in the Superstition
exhibit. Soon more murders begin to occur and the opening of the Superstition
exhibit is drawing closer. Museum researcher Margo Green and her associate
Dr. Frock must solve this mystery before the suspected mass murder occurs
at the opening of the exhibit. Somehow they must find out what is killing
people, how to stop it, and how it is all connected to the mysterious statue
of the creature called Mbwun. To find out what happens, you will have to
read Relic by Douglass Preston and Lincoln Child.

If you are looking for a book to read, and have enjoyed Crichtons Jurrassic
Park, Congo, Andromeda strain, or any books similar to
those greats, try Relic, By Douglas Preston and Lincoln child. This
is a Sci-fi/mystery/horror story that takes place in The Museum of Natural
History in N.Y.C.. When the mutilated body's of two boys are found in the
basement, it has begun. This book will keep you reading it, and if you ever
go to that museum, be assured, you will want to stay on the top floor. The
author creates just the right level of suspense throughout the whole book.
There was never a time while I was reading it when I was not a little hesitant,
but hungry for more. A series of grotesque killings all exhibit a few common
features. For example, the top of the skull is crushed in, there are huge
claw marks, and guts are spewed all over the place. At one of the death
sites, tests on blood on the wall show that it was moving at incredible
speed when it hit. With these trademarks, who, or rather what , do you think
did it? Read it to find out more about the Museum Beast.

It's head is as thick as a baseball bat ,it is as fast as a car, and it
is as intelligent as a human. I am descibing the monster known as Mbwun
in the book Relic. Relic is a good book, and near the end it gets very
exciting. The Mbwun is loose in the Museum of Natural History. It lives
in the sub basement of the museum, and comes out at night to feed. The
officers at first have no idea what is tearing people apart, and not prepared
for what the mbwun is capable of doing. They will soon wish they did.
In the begining it can be boring, but don't put it down because it will
get a whole lot better. A Indian tribe in South America Knows about the
Mbwun, and the museum got a relic from them which show what the Mbwun looks
like. Near the end it becomes very descriptive, and exciting. You can
see what happened when the Mbwun strikes. I hope you enjoy Relic as much
as I did. Remember if there is a stench of dead goat in the air watch out
for,
MBWUN!
