This is a very good book by Terry Brooks, the author of the Shannara series.
If you've read those books, I think you'd like these even better. They
move much faster than them, but are just as good. In this book, which is
the first in a series of 5 as of now, and with more coming, a dissatisfied
lawyer named Ben sees an add advertising a Magical kingdom in another dimension,
with the buyer made king. Curious, Ben answers the add, and is surprised
when he finds it is true. Transported to the Magic Kingdom, Ben meets Quester
Hewes, the court wizard, and is escorted top his castle. He finds that
his castle, however, is falling apart. Once inside, he meets Abernathy,
the court addvisor who was accidentally turned into a dog by Quester Thewes,
and two kobolds, which are intelligent and ferocious animals. He quickly
finds out that this motley crew are the only people in the kingdom who are
still loyal to him, thanks to a long line of fun seekers who had answered
the add in the past, but proved incompetent and became hated before they
died. They died, he found out, when the Demon lord, the Mark, Challenged
them to combat in an attempt to take over the kingdom. Unhappily, Ben sets
out to gain the loyalty of the two major powers of the kingdom, Lord Kalenbore
and The Rivermaster. However, they each give him a task to perform first.
The Rivermaster tells him to defeat the powerful witch, Nightshade, and
Kalenbor asks him to defeat the dragon that has been terrifying the county.
Determined, Ben sets out to perform the tasks set before him. The book
is great, and I hope you'll try it.

One of my favorite books is Magic Kingdom For Sale-Sold by Terry Brooks.
It is about an average man who travels to a magical kingdom to become its
High Lord. Ben Holiday lost his wife and now feels lonely and depressed.
Then he sees an ad in a catalogue advertising a magical kingdom. It costs
quite a bit, but he has the money, and he's desperate. When he gets to
the kingdom, he finds it going to ruin. He is told that he is the one that
can save the kingdom, but he doesn't feel capable. I think I liked this
book mainly because I would sometimes like to travel to a fantasy world.
Terry Brooks describes it so well that it is almost like going there yourself.
I would definitely recommend this book to fantasy lovers. Anyone who has
already read a Terry Brooks book can appreciate how good his writing is.
I think that this is a very good book, and I give it five stars.
