One of my favorite books is Jacob Have I Loved. This is about two twin
sisters who live on an island. The sisters are very different. The island
they live on is very cut off from the world. There is no bridge to it and
no airport because it is too small. The only way to get to the main land
is by a ferry that goes once a day. The ferry also carries there mail.
There is one small school on the island which is made up of only two classes.
As you can see, this is a very small island.
The story is about one of the sisters. This sister is very different from
the other. The other is frail, sweet, pretty, and expected to leave the
island for the mainland because none of the people on the island are like
her. She is different. The other sister is an island girl. She loves
the ocean and doesn't mind getting dirty. She even asks her father if she
can go fishing with him. This sister thinks that her sister is better than
her because she's smarter and more musical.
Great conflict comes between these sisters for their whole lives. This
is a very good story for anyone. I myself loved it.
