I would recommend this book to anyone, but you will especially like this
book if you enjoy reading about wizards ,elves , castles, battles, dragons,
dwarves, magic, curses, and spells. These all fall under the category of
what Tolkien calls Middle Earth. In The Hobbit , it all starts in a
comfortable Hobbit hole. The house in which a Hobbit lives is in many ways
similar to our houses except that it's underground like a forest animal's
hole . A hobbit hole is very comfortable. Inside one, is a good natured
hobbit called BILBO, And he is heating up breakfast. Then a band of important
looking dwarfs arrive by the twos and threes. Bilbo is a trifle confused
. He actually WAS expecting a guest , but instead of Gandalf the wizard
,he was fixing breakfast for dwarfs !!! After a while Gandalf does arrive
, to inform the poor hobbit that he was about to go on a long dangerous
un-hobbitlike quest. The Reason of the quest is explained by the dwarves
but the slightly miserable Bilbo is slow to catch on. He wonders why it
has to be HIS quest , the dwarves seem to know every thing about it . They
should do it ! Bilbo is clueless as to why this quest is to be carried
out, and what he has to be responsible for something of such importance.
Here I must leave off , I cant tell you anything else or it would quite
ruin the book for you. There are only three things I can tell you : #1,
This book is the first book in the series called THE LORD OF THE RINGS,
and in this book you will find out why it has to do with a ring. #2,
You will be taking a long exciting journey BE PREPARED!!! #3 , Enjoy
the book, after you are done there are plenty more books for you to enjoy
by the same author!!!
