My favorite book that I have read is And Then There Were None by Agatha
Cristie. Another name or tile for this book is Ten Little Indians. This
book is about ten people who come to Indian Island by some man that goes
by the name U.N. Owen. These ten people(Vera Claythorne, Mr. Justice
Wargrave, Philip Lombard, Emily Brent, General Macarther, Anthony Marston,
Mr. Blore, and Mr. and Mrs. Rogers) come to Indian Island and find a
beautiful Mansion. They see a fire place and notice that it has a Ten Indians.
Later, at breakfast they find out that there is No Mr. Owen. Vera sees
a little rhyme on the wall in her bedroom. It said:
Ten little Indian boys went out to dine;
One Indian choked his little self and then there were nine
Nine little Indian boys sat up very late;
One overslept himself and then there were eight
Eight little Indians boys traveling in Devon;
One said he'd stay there and then there were seven.
Seven little Indian boys chopping up sticks;
One chopped himself in halves and then there were six.......
And the rhyme kept going on. At dinner one of the ten people died by being
choked just like the nursery rhyme. The rest of the ten people saw on the
fire place that there was only nine Indians left. Nobody knows who is doing
this. What do you think will happen next? Who will be the next to die?
