An Enemy Among Them

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes an old fashioned, romance novel. The novel is about Margaret and Christian, who fall in love. But both countries they are from are at war together. I liked this book because it has a small amount of romance and action scenes like in Christian's point of view at the Battle of Brandywine. At the Battle of Brandywine, the Hessians were in battle against the Rebels. Christian had gotten lunged at with a gun, and Christian had to stab him. I also like this book because it was historical fiction. It took place during the Revolutionary War. At times, oridinary fiction can get out of hand, while this novel did not. The author used decriptive words, and it seemed like I was actually there. I liked the choice of events the author used like when Christian had killed a friend to save Margaret. This story is for people who like romance but not a whole big deal of it. My favorite part of the novel is when Christian had killed his so called friend. The man pointed the gun at Margaret and demanded information about Hessian army plans. Christian refused to discuss. Christian jumped and pointed behind the man at nothing to startle and frighten him. Then he jumped on the man and struggled on the ground for the gun. Christian retrieved it and shot him. This part was very exciting. I think everyone should read this classy romance novel.
