My favorite book that I have read this year is Addie Pray by Joe David Brown. It was a very, very good book.
Addie Pray is about a girl named Addie who has lived with her adult friend Long Boy (Moses) Pray ever since her mother died. They are crooks and they travel around getting money from people in different ways. Here is an example: Addie would take a one dollar bill and go into a store to buy something that cost 50 cents. When the cashier gave her 50 cents in change, Addie would say "Excuse me, I gave you a twenty dollar bill. You owe me $19.00 in change." Usually, the cashier would be so dumb, that they would just say "Oops, sorry. Here's 19 more dollars." If the cashier said "No, you gave me a dollar", Addie would start crying, the manager would come and, to save his store's reputation, he would tell the cashier to give her 19 more dollars. This is just one of the many tricks that they played.

This book was very funny but at the end, there was a very sad part when they found out something about their very good friend. I would definitely recommend this book to any good readers who want an excellent book.
