A Journey to the Center of the Earth
is a great classic. This book takes place back in time when they didn't know that
the earth wasn't hot and that it wasn't impossible to go inside the Earth. Not all
the science was as developed. This book was in the country Germany.
This book is about a professor and his nephew that find an Islamic note and the Professor
tries to translate it. This entire book is based on this one problem. The professor
succeeds and translated the the notes. He finds out that this is actually a set of notes that describes an entrance to the center of the Earth. The nephew thinks
that this is too good to be true. When the professor finds out this out he can't
wait to go and look. He prepares to take a journey to Iceland. When his nephew heard
the good news he was against going into the Earth. He thought that there was no proof that
such a place ever exists. The professor was going to be the first scientist to travel
to the center of the Earth. The professor was able to talk his nephew into going
on this adventure. They started to pack for this incredible journey.
When they arrived in Iceland, they talked to the mayor of a city near where the site
to enter the Earth. The mayor recommended a tour guide named Hans. When they traveled
to the site of an extinct volcano, they climb into the earth, and all the adventures begin. For example, when they first arrive in a big area inside the volcano, they
didn't know what path to take. They almost died because the professor wouldn't admit
that he was wrong. They almost ran out of water and food. But, their trustful guide
Hans was able to find an underground water supply.
Another adventure they had was when the professor's nephew almost managed to get lost.
They found him by talking into the wall was able to carry the sound. This was when
the professors nephew decided to go on this time he was really excited to go on.
He saw how much this meant to his uncle.
This is a great classic with many adventures and will hold your attention. If I had
to rate A journey to the center of the Earth I would rate it 100%.
