One great classic I read this year was the myth, Jason, the Argonauts, and The Golden Fleece . This book is based on the myth of Jason
with a lot more detail, characters and events. For example, in the myth, the author didn't describe Jason's life growing up with Cherion, Jason"s mentor. In the book the author spends a great deal of time telling you about Jason's life so far. He also describes Jason preparing to face his Uncle Pelis, the unrightful King of Delphi. Another reason I liked this book is the characters were described so well. It was like the author met with each character on a regular basis. Another thing the author did well was he took his time bring out the plot. In fact he took so long I didn't know what the real plot is until half the book was done!

One of the best part in the book is when Jason is still in training.
This part is when Jason met his birth mother for the first time. That is when you find out about most of the plot. In this scene the Mother tells Jason that he must go up against his uncle Pelis. Then she gives him a package, in the package he finds two spears, a sword, and one sandal with spikes on the toe. His mother says the spears are for killing Pelis. The sword is for killing his guards, and the sandal is a symbol of a true warrior!

Even though I loved this book their are a few people I would not recommend this to. One, I would not recommend this to anyone who doesn't like myths or medieval times. Two if you can't stand violence, do not read this book. Three if you hate to read you would never be able to finish all 352 pages. Otherwise this will be an instant hit!
