Dracula
is a wonderful classic filled with adventure and horror. I would highly recommend
this book to anyone who likes scary books. It has a simple plot but is still hard
to understand because it was written in the 1800's. Another reason is because it
is made of many different journal entry from various characters so it hard to follow. It is
also a lengthy book. So, you may have trouble reading it if you aren't a good reader.
The beginning of this book starts out with Jonathan Harker. He goes to Dracula's castle
to conduct business. Dracula then locks him in his castle for almost a month. He
won't let him write letters or even leave his room. After a month, he escapes back
to England. But, Dracula goes to England too. He then begins to kill people there.
Jonathan and his friend Dr. Seward and Seward's friend Dr. Van Helsing and some other
people set out to kill Dracula. They figure out that a vampire must sleep during
the day in his native soil. So, they begin burning the boxes of dirt that Dracula has brought
with him from his homeland, Transylvania. Dracula realizes what danger he is in
and retreats to Transylvainia. But before he does he drains the blood of John's
wife. She begins to change into a vampire. But the change will take a while. But, if they
kill Dracula then she will go back to normal. They pursue him for many days not knowing
if they will make it in time.
This is a very exciting book. A lot of incredible things happen in this book. Sometimes
it is even frightening but always adventurous. It is a hard book but it is worth
it.
