A great book to read is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer . It takes place in the 1800's. It is the sequel to The Adventures of Huck Finn. This book is a very exciting book, and it is an adventure too. It is about two kids who are best friends who live in the South. When Tom Sawyer, the main character, meets Becky Thatcher he likes her and does everything in his power to get Becky to like him. When Becky finds out that he was married she got really mad and never wanted to she him again.
When Tom, Huck, and Joe go off and hide on an island and their parents did not know where they were, they did some stuff they weren't supposed to. They played pirates. They went skinny dipping, and smoked pipes. They thought they could smoke pipes all day and not get sick, but a little later they were sick and they were hungry so they ate dinner and went back to smoking their pipes again. The next day they saw a rescue boat and they thought someone had drowned in the river and they were looking for the body. When they went back to they found out they were the ones they were looking for. They got in big trouble.
But one day when Tom and Huck where in the graveyard they saw Ingun Joe with the town banker and some other guy so they hid be hind a grave and what they saw was Ingun Joe killing the banker. They went to court and Tom was asked questions and he told them the truth but he disappeared and hid a lot of cash. But one day Tom and Huck found Ingun Joe dead. But they did not know where the money was. But I can't give away the ending so if you want to find out happens you should read the book . But the is hard it has really difficult dialog.I personally like the book it was fun reading the book, but to me it was hard. It was one of my favorite books I like A lot of Mark Twain, and I hope you try to read this.

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer , by Mark Twain, is an adventure classic and is a wonderful story. The author describes every event so thoroughly which makes the story easy to follow and interesting. You can almost picture yourself in every situation and you feel as if you are there with the characters. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a great book, and I would recommend it to more advanced readers because some parts have more advanced words.
This story revolves around Tom Sawyer, the main character. Tom lives with his Aunt Polly and his brother Sid. It takes place in the late 1890's. Throughout the story, Tom gets into a lot of trouble and often finds himself getting scolded. Tom is very mischievous and always is involved in something. His main adventure that lasts during the whole novel. Tom and friend Huckleberry Finn, go into a graveyard one night to try to get rid of a wart that Huck has, trying to follow a superstition. Huck takes a dead cat in with him and stands on the top of a grave. Soon, Huckleberry and Tom hears voices and see lights coming from a distance. Three men approach from the distance and Tom and Huck quickly duck behind a bush. The next thing the two boys know, they the men digging up a grave, but at the same time they hear the men yelling at each other and soon, the men begin to fight. They soon figure out that the three men are familiar men from their town. They are Mr. Williams, Muff Potter and Injun Joe. They next hear Muff Potter saying that he didn't mean to do it, but the boys were not sure what he was talking about. Muff and Injun Joe leave and Huck and Tom come out from their hiding spot. The next thing they see, would change their lives forever and bound them together with an awful secret.
After that event, Tom and Huck begin to follow Injun Joe and soon find that Injun Joe is hiding a treasure and Tom and Huck are determined to get it. For the remainder of the novel, Tom and Huck monitor Injun Joe and watch his every move. Tom and Huck will do anything to get that treasure. Huck stands watch every night outside of Injun Joe's hideout and he and Tom won't give up until the find the treasure.
This adventure novel is very exciting and easy to follow. It catches your attention and keeps you interested, during the whole novel. If you are looking for a good adventure novel, that is also a classic, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is the book for you.

I read this really good and interesting book called The Adventures of Tom Sawyer . The book is about a boy named Tom Sawyer. This book is not mainly about just one thing it is about many adventures of Tom Sawyer. There was one time that Tom's Aunt Polly made him white wash the fence. Now Tom did not want to white wash the fence but Tom had no choice. When Tom started white washing the fence a kid named Ben came up to him and asked Tom why he was working on a Saturday morning. Tom convinced the Ben that it was fun white washing the fence and that the Ben could not pay him enough to get in on the fun. Well this made Ben want to white wash the fence and gave Tom an apple. Soon every kid in town wanted to white wash the fence. So not only did Tom get the fence done, he also made a pretty good profit.
That little story was not even close to an adventure Tom had with Huck Finn. Once Tom and Huck pretended that they were pirates and were looking for buried treasure now they were just pretending of course but they really found buried treasure. Tom and Huck were very happy but the treasure was stolen. There were many other adventures too like when Huck saved a widow from a painful death, or the time when Tom, Huck, and Joe Harper went to a deserted island so everyone at there own home thought they were dead. I could not put this book down especially when Tom and Becky (a girl that Tom liked) got lost in the cave. This was not an easy book. It has words from an earlier time period in our history. It was made for someone who really likes to read. I enjoyed it a lot. Now to find out what happens to Tom in these zany adventures read the book The Adventures of Tom Sawyer today.

Adventures of Tom Sawyer - classic

The novel, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer , is about a boy, around the age of ten to thirteen years old, named Tom Sawyer. Tom is a very daring kid, more or less to his own good. Tom has a friend, Huckleberry Finn, that is banned from the town. Tom is forbidden to speak to him but does so anyway, being the daredevil that he is. Huck and him get into some pretty sticky situations.Tom lives with his aunt, Aunt Polly. She cares for him like a mother, whom he does not have because she died. He also lives with another child, Sid, who is his brother. Sid is a seven or eight year old that likes to make Tom mad, which is somewhat easily done because of Tom's not-so-bad temper. Tom is always beating up on Sid and Sid does not like it, Neither does his Aunt Polly.
When Tom is on his adventures he does things you would never imagine someone would do. In the beginning of the book, Tom and Huck (Huckleberry), sneaked out at night and wanted to get rid of warts. The secret was to have a dead cat, be at the graveyard at exactly Midnight, and say the magic words. As they were approaching, they could hear voices in the graveyard. At first they thought it was evil spirits but when they were close enough to see, it was Muff Potter, Doc Robinson, and the book's villain, Injun Joe. While they were hiding behind a tree next to the graveyard gate, they noticed that the party of three were digging up a grave to rob the grave of the gold that was in it with the deceased man. When they had the small chest of gold, they had an argument about how much of the gold each of them should receive. This argument led to a fight. Muff Potter, I think you should know, is an alcoholic. He had been drinking that night and wasn't seeing too clearly. He was hit in the head with a two-by-four and was knocked out by Doc Robinson. This really made Injun Joe mad. He stole Muff's knife and stabbed Doc Robinson with it, killing him. Now, the knife Joe used was Muff's so now it look like Muff did it. After Doc Robinson was dead, Joe put Muff's knife in Muff's (unconscious) hand. Since Muff had been drinking, he did not remember anything that had happened, including getting knocked out by Doc Robinson. Since he had no recollection of anything of the previous night. Joe convinced Muff that he had killed Dock Robinson. A clever, but evil plan. This sent Muff to jail. However, there were two witnesses, Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. This was good for Muff but bad for the two boys because Injun Joe saw them as he took the knife out of Doc Robinson.
In another part, Tom and Becky are lost in a cave when they are supposed to be looking for the Injun Joe after the trial proved him guilty and he ran away. When they are wandering in the cave with their lit candle, Tom takes Becky on a tour of the cave and of all the caverns and they get too far into the caves and are lost. The fear that they had was great because of the fact that Injun Joe was in the cave. After waking around for a while they find a cool spring in the cave, this is where their candle goes out. They sit and wait for a while by the cool mountain spring when Tom has an idea. He tells Becky to hold one side of a ball of string he has and he holds on to the other. He goes exploring through the darkness, holding his end of the string a his guide. He comes face-to-face with Injun Joe, but Injun Joe doesn't know that he is looking at Tom Sawyer, the boy that saw his crime. Tom knows that he is in a terrible situation and he hopes that he can count on his friends to help him once again.
This was an exciting and riveting novel. The suspense was great, especially when you knew that Injun Joe was around. This book is something that I think anyone would enjoy. I give it a thumbs up!
