A great classic that I read this year was called The Three Musketeers By Alexander Dumas. This book was about the Three Musketeers -Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and their friend d'Artagnan.
The Three Musketeers work for the king of France. Athos, Porthos, and Aramis run into d'Artagnan and d'Artagnan has a to fight a duel with all three of them on the same day. The Three Musketeers soon make friends with d'Artagnan. d'Artagan wants to become one of the Three Musketeers, but before he becomes one, he becomes an apprentice to them. He goes on all of the adventures that the Three Musketeers go on. d'Artagnan helped the Three Musketeers solve many problems because he was very, very smart. One night d'Artagnan meets a woman and falls in love. Then, she is abducted by someone and d'Artagnan is determined to find her. d'Artagnan believes that the Cardnial took her. The story is mainly about the many adventures that d'Artagnan goes on with the Three Musketeers.
Some good things about the book are the descriptions of the adventure scenes. The author describes things very well, and he makes the characters come alive. There are many fighting scenes in The Three Musketeers and the author describes them with great detail. You really feel like you're right there in the story. I would highly recommend this book to anyone. It was one of the most interesting and fun book I have ever read.
