One of the best classics that I've read is The Prince and the Pauper by
Mark Twain. It's about a pauper named Tom Canty and the prince of Wales.
His name is Edward. Tom dreams of seeing a prince in his life. One day he
decided to go to the palace gates to catch a glimpse of the prince. When
he got there, he saw Edward and started to unconsciously shake the gates.
A guard started to throw him to the ground, but the prince said that he
didn't like the cruelness. So, he invited the pauper to the palace to make
it up to him. Later, in the palace, they decided to exchange clothes. When
they looked in the mirror, they saw that their faces looked exactly the
same! Now, the pauper was in the prince's clothes, and the prince was in
the pauper's clothes. The prince unaware of his new clothes, went to the
guard and scolded him for treating the pauper that way. When he left the
pauper alone and went outside to do that, he got thrown out because the
guard thought he was the pauper. So, the prince was treated like Tom had
been treated, and the pauper was treated like the prince had been. The prince
was put into the real world, and the pauper found out what it's like to
be a Prince. One thing they both felt was how it feels to be lonely.
If you want to find out what happens, read the book. It's full of adventures
and it'll make you want to keep reading.
