One of my favorite classics that I read this year was The Old Man and the Sea. If you like to fish than this is a good book.

I liked The Old Man and the Sea because I like to fish, and the book is about a fisherman. I could relate to the old man because I am a fisherman like he is. I've gone months without a catch. So I knew how the old man felt when he went seventy nine days without even a small bass.

The whole story is about the old man trying to catch a fish. He makes his catch, but he stays at sea a little bit longer than he expected. When he finally kills the fish, he heads home. On the way home, he runs into trouble. I won't spoil the story by telling you all of it because then it wouldn't be worth reading. When he gets home, he goes straight towards his shack. He sleeps and leaves he the fish on shore. He ends up not getting the real happy ending, but at least the drought for fish was over.

If you are a fisherman, or like to fish, this is the book for you. It's not too long and it has some action toward the end. So, remember, the next time you're in a library, look for The Old Man and the Sea.

A great classic I read is The Old Man and the Sea. The book was written by Ernest Hemingway.
The Old Man and the Sea was a great book. The book was about a man and he was out at sea and he was trapped out there. He had a fishing pole. The old man caught a big fish. But the sharks ate it so he was left with the bone.
One thing that was bad was that he was trapped at sea for three days. The only thing he had was a jug of water and salted fish. He got blisters on every part of his hand. When he caught his fish, he brought them home, but he was too tired so he left it on shore and then the sharks ate it and left the old man with the bone.
