A great classic that I read this year was Dracula. This book was written by Bram Stoker.
The book was based on the main character and the people he knew. The character Jonathan Harker had traveled to Transylvania on a business account to a very wealthy count. Count Dracula lived in a very large mansion in Transylvania. His house was very cold, very quiet and unwelcoming. When Jonathan arrived he was locked in his room, he was told it was for his own protection. Being an accountant he did not suspect anything out of the ordinary, after he broke out of his room. Jonathan soon discovered that the count was not what he appeared to be.
After traveling back to England with this terrible secret, Count Dracula followed him with the intention of death. Dracula quickly found out the address of his home were he lived with his wife.
My favorite part in the book was when Jonathan went to an old abandon warehouse with his close friends Dr. Van Hestling and Arthur. They were there to kill some vampires because Count Dracula had been shipping over some of his companions. It was at this very warehouse that this book had one of the most exciting parts. I was almost as scared as they were, and when they started to to fight with Count Dracula! I could almost see them there in front of me! And me watching, waiting to jump into the action at any chance I got.
This book was a very descriptive and a very detailed book. It was written in the form of diary entries and letters. I thought this was a very special and unique touch for book with a story like this. It really made it come alive for me. The book was written with a lot of proper English. It also used a lot of our every day words with the meanings of different terms. So it was helpful to sit next to a dictionary while I read this book.

I would like to recommend this book to anyone that likes horror books, mystery books or just wants to read an interesting classic. I guarantee that this book will hold your interest to the very first page to the very last sentence. This book is almost like a movie. It describes the sites, sounds and feelings that the characters are having, it feels like your there with them. I don't know about you but that's what I want when I read a book.
