I read an amazing book called Treasure Island by Robert Stevenson. It's
about a kid named Jim Hawkins who finds a treasure map and goes on a treasure
hunt. Unfortunately for him Long John Silver is going on the same treasure
hunt. When the ship reaches the island Long John and the other mutineers
go to war with Captain Smollet, Jim Hawkins, and a few other men. Mr. Stevenson
wrote an outstanding book. It's a great book all through out the book.
Some things in the book happened that are unexpected. I can't believe an
author from the 1800's can write such an awesome book. He has also written
other books so if you like this book you can read the others. My favorite
part of the is during the war. I like that part the best because that's
when a lot of unexpected things happen. That part is good and it's descriptive
enough so that you can picture what you're reading. That's why I like this
book.

This novel was astounding. A young boy named Jim Hawkins set out to find
a treasure on Treasure Island, after having found a map that was given to
him by Billy Bones
Jim was thinking hew was going to be rich and have a happy a happy life,
until a man named Long John Silver ( who was Jim's friend)the chef on the
ship created a mutiny and tried to steal the treasure. Billy Bones a former
pirate had warned Jim about this evil one legged sheif, but Long John Silver
seemed to nice to be mean so Jim didn't worry about him. Long John Silver
made a crew of his best men and they together took over the ship.
I highly recommend this book. The adventure never stops. This book is
also a challenging reading reading choice.

If you have not yet read Treasure Island, by Robert Louis Stevenson, then
in my opinion you are missing out on one of the best books ever written.
The book is filled with action. There are pirates, good guys, and Jim Hawkins.
Jim is mostly good guy, but he has friends in high places on the pirate
side. Some of the characters in this book are very puzzling. Take, as an
example, Long John Silver. At first he seems like the most happy-go-lucky,
helpful, and friendly guy in the world. But as the story progresses young
Jim overhears a conversation in an apple barrel, he discovers the real Long
John. He is a terror to behold. Leader of the pirates, he turns out to be
the most feared man on the planet. The most feared pirate captain ever was
cap'n Flint, of the Walrus. He was only afraid of one man. He was scared
of Silver. The author does an excellent job of describing the characters.
I will again use Silver as an example. You don't know he's a bad guy unless
you have heard of him before. I was completely taken in. If you like Stevenson,
Classics, the sea, pirates, action, or an interesting read, Treasure Island
is the book for you.

A good classic everyone has probably heard of is Treasure Island.
This book gives you thrills and chills and you can use your own Imagination.
You have probably seen this movie in the theatre and there everything you
saw was controlled by the director. But when you read this, the limit is
your imagination.
I will leave it up to you to decide if the book is better than the movie,
but it is worth a try.
If you have seen the movie, it was probably changed to fit the screen and
the directors point of views. So if you want the real deal, read the real
book, and I know it will be worth it.

I read (and enjoyed) the classic Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson
this year. This was a great book with lots of adventure and good writing.
Action begins at the beginning when pirates attack Jim Hawkins (the main
character) and his mother after they find a treasure map. After this there
is much more excitement. Jim goes to his family doctor and the squire and
shows them the map. They decide to go on a voyage to recover the buried
treasure. unfortunately, the squire talks too openly (this is his major
flaw), and tells Long John Silver a one-legged man (one real leg and one
wooden leg), about the voyage. Long John befriends the squire, and finds
out all the information about the voyage. He then tricks the squire into
hiring pirates and firing the honest men for the voyage. Then in the middle
of the voyage, the crew becomes mutinous led by the traitorous Long John
Silver, they fight with Jim, Doctor Livingston, Squire Trelawney and the
Captian.
To find out what the outcome is, read this book. Some classics are very
hard to understand, this one is understandable but not too easy. I highly
recommend Treasure Island.
