Oliver Twist is an amazing book. It's about an orphaned boy who is passed from one family to another. He encounters many adventures through his rough life, such as being kidnapped by theives who train him to be like them.
One thing that made this book so good was the discriptions. They really let you picture the people and places in your mind. Another would be how true to life it is. All of the things that happened to Oliver, such as accused of being a theif, could happen in real life.
This is a very sad book. I cried every time the author would describe how awful and sad Oliver felt. But really, this just made me like the book even more. I would definitly recommend it!

One classic that I read this year was Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. I enjoyed it because it gave me a glimpse into another lifestyle. Oliver is a young orphaned boy who gets mixed up with a group of London thieves. Oliver's travels and troubles are what this book is about. He starts out at a nursery type place, then ends up as a worker for a coffin maker. Life there is hard, and Oliver runs away. Then he ends up in London with the thieves, later to be taken in by a kind man, and then to a kind woman's house. It was interesting to me to be shown a world so different from my own life. I think that anyone who enjoys realistic books about lifestyles that are different from their own should read this classic. It is not as difficult reading as some classic, so I think that most people could read it. If you are looking for an interesting classic, this is the one to read.
