I read the classic Of Mice and Men. I thought this was a good book because it was different from all the other classics. It didn't talk about cowboys , or indians. It talked about two men and thier lives. Ones name is George. e is the smart one. The other ones name is Lennie. Lennie is kind of slow. The book kind of follows the two for about two months. there is not much aciton but its got some surprizing parts in it.
George and Lennie have a dream that some day they will own a house and some land. The book starts off with them hidding from the towns people because lennie grabed some girls dress , and she told people that he tried to rape her. They got chased out of town with out being found. George went out and found another job for the two. For the rest of the book George tries to keep Lennie out of troble. When George lets Lennie go off Lennie disobeys George.
I would recomened this book to any one who likes diferent books. The auther set the book up in a diferent way then most other books. This is the best classic book I've read. For any one who wants a classic this is the book to get.

The book that I think should have won an award was the book Of Mice And Men By, John Steinbeck. It had a lot of very discriptive parts in it like, when the author was descripting Lennie and George. There were also some sad parts too like when Lennie killed one of the puppies and when Lennie was killed.
The reason I picked this book as my favorite classic was because I really haven't read a book that good in a long time, the reason I couldn't put it down was because you didn't know what was going to happen next you were always trying to figure out what was going to happen next.
The reason this is such a good book for kids my age is because of all the suspension some suspension was waiting for Lennie and George to leave the farm that they were working on. One Other suspension is when George was about to shout Lennie I was Waiting for him to pull the trigger.
This Book was one of my favorite books that I could not put down, and that is why it was my favorite classic this year. So try reading the book by John Steinbeck Of Mice And Men.

I would recommend the classic Of Mice and Men. I chose this book for several reasons. First off, I found the descriptiveness of the of the writing a definite plus. He would describe down to the last detail. He would always describe a room or area where a scene took place. In one scene he was describing a bunkhouse and used some great descriptive words. Secondly, I liked the characters of the book. They were real people, or could have been. They did ordinary things and were not living a fantasy. Lennie, one of the main characters, was retarded. The other main character was George. He was Lennie's mentor. They were a team. George and Lennie were always looking for work after Lennie messed up and got them fired. Finally, I liked and would recommend this book because the emotions were strong. Lennie and George were emotional in everything they did. George was somewhat more emotional. The feelings added a big part to the story and it wouldn't be the same without the emotions written the way they were. They also added to your reading pleasure. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good read a and real-life story.

A classic novel that I read this year was Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. This touching and thrilling novel was filled with emotions of hate and love. This fascinating and gripping tale takes place in the early twentieth century probably during the great depression when workers went to California looking for a new life. I was disappointed though that the book was so short ( only about a hundred pages ) but in the few pages that were written a wonderful story takes place on the human will and what it takes to survive. Lennie Small and George Milton are the two abandoned ranchers out of work until they finally land a job bucking barley on a ranch in California. Their hopes and dreams of someday owning a few acres of land, some animals and a few patches of alfalfa for the rabbits. Their dream is almost in reach until things go wrong terribly wrong. That's all that I want to tell you about for now and I would highly recommend reading this classic piece of literature. Of Mice and Men was a heart felt story exploring the courage that it takes to get through life and the sacrifices that we all must make.

My favorite classic that I read has to be OF MICE AND MEN, by John Steinbeck. This was a good book because one, it had a good plot to it. It didn't bounce around a lot, like in one part the characters were somewhere then they somewhere else at the same time. It had a smooth rhythm to it.
Also I liked how the author discriminate the characters, like how he made the differences from the two main characters. Lennie with his strong tall body and strong hands, and George the little man that is the leader of the two. Also how he described where Lennie and George are, you could get a clear picture in your mind.
This book was different from other books that I have read because the author gave the characters accents. This made the book interesting and kind-a made the book easier to get into.
This book was about two men George and Lennie. Lennie the strong dumb one and Geoge the little smarter one. George finds all the jobs and place to stay. George is telling Lennie all the time about how they're going to own a farm and have bunny- rabbits on it. (Lennie loves all animals but when he goes to play with them he accidentally kills them and he doesn't understand what he has done to them.)
They find a place to stay and the adventure is on.

The classic Of Mice and Men, by John Steinback was one of the most best classics I've ever read. This book is about two men who need money to buy a home. Lennie and George (The two men) go to this ranch, were they work for a guy named Curley, who gives them money for working. While they are there, many mysterious things go on. Such as fighting, shooting and mysterious murders.:0 One of the murders takes place in the weirdest place that a murder can take place, a spooky, old and peaceful barn. During this book you will meet some spooky, strange and very different characters in this story. You will see the problems the Lennie has. And some of those problems can be dangerous. At the end of this book, something happens that nobody expects.
When you read this book , you can't put it down. The book has a grasping hold on you. I once had these dreams about what was going to happen next. This book is like a haunted house, you don't know what you are going to see next. I would recommend this book to anybody. Its got what Kids like, mysterious murders. Its got what adults like, suspence, such as the fighting. I think everyone should read this great book. :)

A classic I liked was Of Mice And Men by John Steinbeck. This is a book that has a lot of feeling to it. It made me think about how lucky I am to live and be the person that I am. This book is about two men. One is named George and the other is named Lennie. Lennie is a big strong man with a childish mind. Lennie can't remember much throughout the book, so George has to help him. This story makes you think about why certain characters do certain things, like why George will put up with Lennie. It makes you think about why the author put certain characters into the book like Lennie.
It is hard to write about the feelings in this book because I don't have the right words to describe it. If you don't understand what I mean than why don't you read it?
This book is good for people that can understand the messages that are taught in books like this one. It is good for people that want an all around good book and only have a couple of nights to read it.
