The classic I read was A Connecticut in King Arthur's Court. It was a very interesting book. It was told from the point of view of a Connecticut Yankee. He had to face all the dangers of the Medieval times using just his wits. He defeated Merlin the Magician using his knowledge of science. After, that he became the king's chief advisor to the king. He and the king were put into slavery, he updated the schools and the technology to his own standards. He did all of this in hopes to make the world a better place. But, despite his efforts, it all ended in a tremendous war where all who fought against him were killed in a massive holocaust of ten thousand people.

This novel A Conneticut Yankee In King Arthurs Court is a terrific classic by Mark Twain. It's One of his best. Mark Twain has not changed he still has his humor. A Connetitcut Yankee goes back in time after being knocked in the head, he wakes up in King Arthurs Court. It's year 518 A.D.and where the Yankee used to live it was some time in the late 1800's and near the early 1900's. The Yankee can not find a way back so he uses the technology he knows to modernize the world. He made light bulbs telephones etc. The Yankee soon became the leader of King Arthurs Court.

This novel is outstanding. I would recommend it to anyone. This is also a challenging reading choice. There is also a movie of this book, atleast that's what I've heard.
