Over 150 Hillside students became the teachers Friday evening at the annual
Hillside Learning Fair!

Hillside Ziti Dinner
Thanks to all who joined us at the Ziti Dinner. There were 307 attendees, raising $1,300 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, a charity committed to funding research to find cures for childhood cancers.

Hillside dad Mr. Helstowski was stationed in Antarctica last month. He has donated the flag that was flown on the South Pole to Hillside!
The flag will be displayed in the lobby next to the flag he brought back for us from Iraq.

Hillside students collected 92 toys that were donated to Toys for Tots and over 100 hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, and socks to be donated to the Northeast Parent and Child Society. Thank you for all donations and Happy Holidays to all!

Mrs. Robitaille's Class Wins Blog Contest!
Award winning author SEYMOUR SIMON visited Hillside on December 1st! Seymour Simon is the author of more than 250 highly acclaimed science books, and has a fabulous interactive website with games and a science blog for kids. His website was a 2011 Webby Award official honoree.

Hillside Students Honor Our Veterans
After learning about the holiday during library class by reading the book Veterans Day by Mir Ansary, each Hillside student has written the name of a family member or friend who is a Veteran or a Veterans Day fact from the book on a star to honor
all the men and women who have served in the United States armed forces. |
