Group Presentation Rubric

 OVERALL ORGANIZATION
4. Excellent ­  The presentation is well-structured and logically sequenced so that all participants have equal opportunity to present their ideas in within the designated time allotment.
3. Good ­ Mostly structured, precise but parts may be unconnected to the rest of the presentation. Most everyone participates equally in the presentation in their ideas.
2. Fair ­ Somewhat structured but too much time spent on unimportant material. Disjointed sequence.
1. Poor ­ Unstructured, strays from the subject. Much of the presentation out of logical order. Goes over time limit.
 
 COMMUNICATION SKILLS
4. Excellent ­ Clear and easily understood. Everyone addressed the audience by making consistent and frequent eye contact.  There was no reading from papers.
3. Good ­ Mostly clear but some hesitancy in the presentation. Most presenters made good eye contact although some members may have read from papers.
2. Fair ­ Somewhat clear but leaves the listener a little lost or disinterested.  The group tended to rely upon reading from papers.
1. Poor ­ Unclear and confusing. Not understood.  No eye contact, monotone and depended upon written papers.

 

 
 KNOWLEDGEABILITY
4. Excellent ­ Shows depth of thought.  The group is able to make interesting and accurate historical and contemporary connections.
3. Good ­ Certain areas show depth of thought and accurate fact support.
2. Fair ­ Some understanding of subject but little depth.
1. Poor ­ Shows a surface knowledge only.

 

 

VISUAL PRODUCT

4. Excellent - The visual aid is interesting, creative, colorful and is directly relevant to the presentation.

3. Good - The visual aid is directly relevant to the presentation but may be somewhat deficient in interest, creativity and use of color.

2. Fair - The visual aid relates somewhat to the presentation but does not enhance the presentation or generate much interest.

1. Poor - The visual aid does not enhance the presentation and shows lack of planning.

0 - There is no visual product or it is inappropriate to the presentation.

 

 

NOTE SHEET

4. Excellent - The note sheet follows format directions, is informative, completely accurate and well-organized.

3. Good - The note sheet follows format directions, may have minor errors and is generally well-organized.

2. Fair - The note sheet may not follow format directions.  It may contain distracting errors and/or lacks organizational focus.

1. Poor - The note sheet does not follow format directions.  It has numerous errors, disorganized and minimally contributes to the understanding of the topic.

0. - There is no note sheet or it fails to contribute to the understanding of the topic.

 

SOURCES

4. Excellent - The minimum number of credible sources has been exceeded, and all sources are correctly cited, using MLA format.

3. Good - There are 4-5 credible sources, with minor errors in MLA format.  Citation format is mostly correct.

2. Fair - There are at least 3 credible sources.  There may be errors in the citation format.

1. Poor - There are few credible sources.  Sources may not be verifiable by me or inaccurate.

0 - There are NO credible sources.
